Welcome to
YOUR LAST CHAPTER
I’m glad you’re here.
Talking about dying isn’t easy. Most of us weren’t taught how. But starting the conversation—gently, honestly—can bring so much peace.
My name is Natalia Vasquez, an End-of-Life Doula with a certification from Doulagivers and trained by Suzanne O’Brien; and a licensed Willow EOL Educator. I help people explore what matters most at the end of life, and how to bring comfort, clarity, and dignity to the time we have left.
Whether you’re preparing for your own last chapter, caring for someone you love, or simply curious about what it means to die well, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to walk beside you—to listen, to guide, and to help you find the words and plans that feel right for you.
Let’s begin wherever you want. I will meet you where you are.

WHAT IS AN END-OF-LIFE DOULA
An End-of-life Doula is a non-medical professional that provides holistic support for the dying and their loved ones before, during, and after death. Trained in the various end of life stages a Doula is able to assist the family with understanding the natural processes while providing comfort and support. When an End-of-Life doula enters an individual’s life specifically for the dying process, they bring expertise, resources, realistic expectations, and unbiased support to help make sense of it all.
Besides breaking the ice and serving as a conversation facilitator for family discussion about end-of-life wishes, the End-of-Life doula provides support in the areas described below:
- Facilitation of End-of-Life Planning.
- Vigil Preparation.
- Mediation and Advocacy for the Dying Person’s Wishes.
- Comfort Measures for the Dying.
- Emotional Support for the Whole Family.
- Life review and legacy project support.
- Respite for caregivers.
- Logistical and household support.
- After death care.
- Education, information and resources.
“End-of-life doulas empower, educate and encourage people and their families to be involved in making decisions.

The word “doula” is Greek for servant or helper. Like a birth doula supports women during the pregnancy and labor process, a death doula supports a person during the dying process. This support is specific to that person’s needs, beliefs, and desires.
Death is a process that can span over months or even years rather than an event and doulas can help with supporting and planning for the future, regardless of diagnosis or illness. Having a conversation or making a plan when you are healthy is encouraged by doulas, so that the care received at the end of life is appropriate and aligned with your wishes.”
